Abstract | In an earlier issue of Methodlogy, Feng (2015) surveyed communication scholars' practices of measuring intercoder reliability and recommended guidelines for avoiding mistakes. In the process, Feng (2015) critically reviewed exsiting agreement indices including Krippendorff's α. Krippendorff commented on Feng (2015) in another contribution to this issue. We welcome the oppotunity to rebut on selected issues. Readers may peruse other parpers we cite, which provide the context of the debate or the evidences on which our views are based. |
