Abstract | In the design of overpass bridge, single column is usually used to support the deck and the deck is put on the columns on the top of which, two lateral bearings with short distance are used to transfer the forces from deck to columns. In some practical cases, the distance between two lateral bearings is too short in comparison with the width of the bridge deck. In some loading cases, it is possible that some of the bearings will become untouched. In this paper, the analysis of such a non-linear problem is presented and the analysis for envelops of bending moments, shearing forces and torsion is conducted withmicro-computer. |
